Fashion Icon: Bruce Dickinson

Remember that time I said I get 90% of my fashion inspiration from men? Yeah, me too! Well, here's a man who is not only an incredibly talented singer, songwriter, actor, screenwriter, author, and broadcaster he is also an airline pilot. Woah. Oh, and if that wasn't enough things to be seriously good at, he's about as cool as a bag of cucumbers chilling in a ice bucket - and if you weren't totally aware, that is ice cold! He knows how to dress. So, Bruce Dickinson let's take it away...

If there is one thing I love more than black leather (pleather) it's studded black leather. And if there's one thing I love more than studded black leather it's red leather. Red leather trousers/pants are, all things considered, the greatest thing in the world - better than everything.
Here Bruce is demonstrating that wearing shiny red leather trousers gives you superhuman powers. Plus, that studded arm cuff thing is worth at least 250 cool points!

Oh, did I mention it's also totally acceptable (and encouraged) to wear said red pants with nothing else? It really is - see below.

Think American Apparel invented Disco Pants? Think again, here Bruce is working them to within in an inch of their life accompanied with that fancy studded cuff thing again. P.s Red and black is always a killer combination.
Oh, and I've got a sneaking suspiscion those yellow leathers were the original inspiration for Uma Thurman's outfit in Kill Bill!!

On Courtney Love, and why I think she's the one of the most fabulous humans to stomp about on this earth.

I won't sit here and pretend like Miss Love isn't the most babein' of babes. The hair, the face, the clothes... the 'tude. Loves it.
Not only is she b-e-a-u-tiful, but she is a one woman whirlwind: talented rocker AND feminst revolutionary being one of the original Riot Grrrrrrls. What a woman.

Okay, sometimes she has the whole 'smacked-out-my-mind' coutre thing going on but so what, it's Courtney Love.
She's a babe!
She's a fox! In France she would be called 'La Renard' and she would be hunted with only her cunning to protect her.
If she was a president she'd be Baberaham Lincoln.
Okay, enough? Get it now. Courtney Love = babe. Here's the proof...

Here she is being a total Kinderwhore babe.

Dita Von Teese.

First things last - Dita Von Teese is outrageously beautiful, and I'm pretty sure she could design and model a cardboard box and I would be pining for it, but HELLO this is some of the most gorgeous underwear I've seen in a while. I'm a total sucker for anything high-waisted AND dark.
I love dark colours; blacks, navys, purples etc. especially dark underwear so this whole collection is a total winner for me from start to finish.

Leopard print is my favourite of all prints, and it is made for beautiful underwear like this!

It's so refreshing to see such a beautiful collection like this which is clearly inspired by Von Teese's trademark 1940s style, but has managed to look so up-to-date and modern at the same time.
If there is one thing I hate it's tacky underwear - yeah, we get it you wanna show off your little floss g-string above your low-cut jeans, but when it comes to sex-appeal nothing beats high-waisted, well fitting bottoms and stockings.
Underwear is so fun, and feminine so why would you want to cut it down to the bare minimum if you don't have to? Plus, the tiny detail that g-strings are uncomfortable as hell - they serve a purpose (no vpl) but aside from that, they are gross. Banish them.
Bridget Jones in. Cheese-strings out.

The best thing about this whole collection? Not just that it's high-quality, beautiful, and flattering - it is so affordable for all! The most expensive piece in the range is the leopard print chemise (below) which you can hold of for £100. Not bad at all.

I'll definitely be adding a few of these sets to my collection! What do you think? Are you a fan of Miss Von Teese?

Fashion Icon: Axl Rose

Here it is, I've finally given into the pressure of starting a fashion blog - eek!
Now, I am by no means a fashion expert, icon, or devotee BUT I know what I like, and I guess it's about time y'all knew what I liked too... So welcome, and enjoy!

Nearly all of my fashion icons are men! Shock! Horror! A woman taking fashion tips from a man - well, when they dress as good as these dudes you can bet your bottom dollar I do...

Mr. Axl Rose
Boy, does this guy know how to dress - whether it's so-tight-they-look-sprayed-on Americana print leggings, big sunglasses, leather jackets or nothing but a tiny pair of demin hotpants he looked sensational!
Sleeveless tank tops are a must in every humans wardrobe! Customise with awesome tats, and a buttloadof chunky, studdy, spikey jewellery and you'll be the coolest guy/gal around.

My personal favourite thing in the world is skin-tight leather pants/leggings/trousers and I only have Mr. Rose to thank for that. He certainly worked them to within an inch of his crotch/life!
Pair them with a baggy, off the shoulder, band tee and you will be ready to rock the face off the place.
Hobo chic?! -->
I do love a good hat - beanies are kinda boring and overdone, but throw on an Americana police style hat and you will score some serious cool points a la Mr Guns N' Roses himself.
Ladies, and Gentleman this is a totally unisex look and looks killer no matter where you are or what you're doing - give it a go.
Who needs clothes anyway? The more flesh on show the better!
Only the brave should try this - but I'm pretty sure this a sure fire way to get attention on your next night out in your local bar! Werk it.

Party on...
